ردهت انترپرایز لینوکس نسخهی تجاری مبتنی بر فدورا میباشد. شرکت ردهت با تست ویژگیهای جدید در فدورا و بعد از طی مراحلی آن امکانات را به ردهت میآورد. این توزیع از پشتیبانی تجاری شرکت ردهت برخوردار است و توسط اکثرا شرکتها و سرورها مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 توسط شرکت ردهت منتشر شد. شرکت ردهت در زمان معرفی این سیستمعامل عنوان کرده است که این نسخه تعریف جدیدی از یک توزیع تجاری خواهد بود. لینوکس ردهت انترپرایز 7 دارای پیشرفتهای زیادی در مجازیسازی بوده است، همچنین در این نسخه از XFS به عنوان فایل سیستم پیشفرض بهجای EXT4 بهره گرفته شده است. Systemd نسخهی ۲۰۸ نیز در این نسخه بهعنوان مدیر سرویس استفادهشده و بخشهای تجاری این نسخه نیز نسبت به نسخهی 6 بهبودیافتهاند. از تغییرات عمدهی این نسخه میتوان به موارد زیر اشاره داشت.
- بهبود و پیشرفت در توسعه نرمافزار
- بوتلودر جدید و تغییرات در نصاب توزیع
- ابلیت وصله کردن هسته لینوکس (Patch)، بدون راهاندازی مجدد سیستم
- پروژه OpenLMI نیز یک زیرساخت مشترک برای مدیریت سیستمهای لینوکس را ارائه می دهد

در این نسخه از گنوم شل نسخهی 3.8.4 استفاده شده است. همچنین گراب نسخهی ۲٫۰۲ نیز در این توزیع به کار رفته که پشتیبانی بهتری از EFI دارد. نسخهی لینوکس استفادهشده نیز نسخهی 3.10 میباشد که از ویژگیهای بیشتری نسبت به قبل برخوردار است.

About the Author
William Leemans has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry in various positions and supporting several environments.
In 2005, he started his own consulting company, Critter BVBA, in the hope of offering open source solutions to his customers, who are mainly enterprises.
In 2010, William started supporting Red Hat products full time with the Federal Police, Belgium. Since then, he has moved on to support Red Hat products at Proximus and now Euroclear.
