GNS3 از بهترین نرم افزارهای شبیه سازی محیط شبکه است، در صورتیکه از IOS های آپدیت شده برای روترهای GNS3 استفاده شود می توانید بیش از 95 درصد از دستورات سیسکو را در آن وارد کرده و تاثیرات هر دستور را مشاهده کنید. در حقیقت یک مزیت بزرگ این نرم‌افزار این است که می‌توانید به عنوان یک Emulator از آن استفاده کنید.
